Year 1998 Premium Roasted Tie Guanyin / Iron Goddess

Tie Guanyin also named as 'Iron Goddess' (铁观音) is a premium range of Oolong tea.

Tie Guanyin is said to be named when a scholar found the plant beneath the Guanyin rock in Xiping. He offered the tea as a gift to the Qianlong Emperor on his visit. The emperor was impressed by the tea and thus the name was formed.

This oolong tea is perfectly roasted and loaded with tonnes of health benefits. It is high in amino acids, polyphenols and antioxidants. It contains vitamins, particularly vitamin C, and other components such as calcium, fluorine, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium and zinc.

It is rare to get hold of aged roasted tie guan yin in the market. This is a small batch kept by the farmers for their own consumption, we managed to buy over some for our customers to enjoy!
